Stems erect, 30-60 cm, simple or branched, shortly hairy above. Leaves ovate, entire to weakly sinuate, lamina 4-15 cm, petiolate. Calyx 5-7 mm, divided to ½ -way into triangular acute teeth, fruiting calyx subglobose, membranous, orange-red, 3-5 cm diam., teeth 5 mm. Corolla greenish white, 15-20 mm diam. Berry shining orange-red, 10-17 mm diam. Fl. 5-10. Woods, river-banks, s.l.-2100 m.
