Perennial, woody at base, 10-20 cm, densely whitish or yellowish to brownish pannose throughout, eglandular. Stem terete, with numerous decumbent or ascending branches. Basal leaves  lanceolate to elliptic, 2,5-4 x 1-2,5 cm, entire or obscurely crenulate, petiole 1-4 cm; cauline numerous, smaller. Inflorescences numerous; racemes cylindrical, simple, lax below, 4-7 cm, 5-15-flowered. Bracts linear-lanceolate to linear, lower leaf-like and longer than pedicels. Pedicels 3-10 mm, ebracteolate. Calyx 5-9 mm, lobes linear-Ianceolate to linear, acute. Corolla yellow, 15-22 mm diam., without pellucid glands, densely stellate-tomentose outside. Stamens 5, anthers reniform, filament-hairs whitish-yellow up to anthers. Capsule broadly ovate to globose, 4-6 x 3,5-5 mm, densely tomentose, glabrescent. Fl. 7. Limestone rocks, 2000-2100 m.
