Much-branched, subspinescent shrub, 0,5-3 m; young shoots densely white-tomentose, becoming glabrous. Leaves obovate, oblanceolate, spathulate or elliptic, up to 3-4 x 1,5-2 cm, entire to crenate, acute or with rounded apex, white-tomentose, more densely so beneath, sessile or with petioles up to c. 5 mm. Flowers pale pink, 12-15 mm diam., with short pedicels. Drupes narrowly ovate or ovate, slightly compressed, up to 20 x 12 mm, white tomentose, becoming glabrous; stone obtusely keeled, often with grooves along keel, other-wise smooth or ± distinctly grooved. Fl. 4-5. Rocky calcareous slopes, 600-1500 m.
