Glabrous herb, stems up to 60 cm. Leaves ternate, the leaflets bipinnate, stipellate, the segments frequently ternate, the ultimate divisions crenately lobed. Sepals fugaceous, c. 4 mm. Filaments dilated at the apex. Achenes long-stalked, pendulous, triquetrous, c. 7 x 3 mm. Fl. 5-7. Damp ledges, c. 500 m.
