Dwarf perennial, 16-20 cm, stem slender, terete and striate, sparsely crisped puberulent below, spreading viscid-pubescent above. Cauline leaves slenderly petiolate, muItisect into narrowly linear, adpressed-pubescent laciniae. Raceme short, dense, few-flowered, 2.5-5 cm x c. 2.5 cm. Bracts linear-Ianceolate or the lowest sometimes trisect; bracteoles linear-Ianceolate, borne near top of pedicels. Flowers dark violet-blue, 20-25 mm, sepals viscid-pubescent outside; spur horizontal, attenuated, acute, 1.5 x sepals. Carpels adpressed pubescent. FI. 7-8.
Endemic; probably most closely allied to D. cyphoplectrum.
