Plant up to 50 cm, adpressed pubescent or glabrescent, ultimate branches rather slender. Leaf laciniae linear, acute. Flowers lilac-blue , 18-25 mm. Corolla 5-lobed; upper lobe shortly bifid or entire, ± equal and approximate to the very obtuse intermediate lobes; lateral lobes oblique, broad, obtuse, separated from the intermediate lobes by a wide sinus; spur apex circinately involute. Follicle semi-obovate, 7-9 x 3-4 mm, apex sub-gibbous, abruptly rostrate. Fl. 6-8. Dry slopes, fields, 900-1600 m.
