Perennial. Stems up to 120 cm. Basal leaves ovate-lanceolate, cordate at the base, c. 2 x longer than broad the secondary veins in the middle part of the leaf forming an angle of 60-90° with the main vein. Pedicels longer than the inner perianth segments. Inner perianth segments cordate, 6-8 x 6-7 mm, irregularly denticulate, all tuberculate. s.I.-400 m.
