Perennial with a woody caudex. Stems numerous, decumbent to ascending. Lower leaves spathulate or oblanceolate, the upper very narrowly elliptic, acute. Inflorescences all terminal, villous, bracts exceeding pedicels, c. 2 mm. Upper sepal not gibbous. Inner sepals narrowly elliptic to lanceolate, substipitate, white or mauve with green veins, 7,5-9,5 x2,5-3,5 mm. Corolla tube exceeding the inner sepals. Capsule obcordate, tapered at the base, sessile, with the wings broadest at the apices of the loculi. Fl. 2-5.
