Differs from C. microcalyx by its glabrous stems and leaves, fleshier 5-7-lobed lamina, lilac corolla , minutely glandular-puberulent capsule, seeds in each loculus concrescent when ripe, forming an alveolate and irregularly winged mass. Fl. 3-5. Coastal calcareous rocks, walls and shingle, s.l.-620 m.
