Plant to 70 cm, with 4-6 oblong-lanceolate basal leaves, c. 25 x 4.5 cm. Spike cylindrical, ± dense, to 60-flowered. Sepals converging into an obtuse hood, yellowish-green outside. Labellum 3-partite, c. 10 mm, yellow, with minute red-brown papillae in centre; lobes yellow, brownish-red or olive-green, darker towards apex, slightly ascending; lateral lobes ± linear, obtuse, falcate; middle lobe elongate, divided into 2 diverging oblong, truncate lobules, with an acute tooth in between. Fl. 4-5. Open scrub, forest margins, 20-1350 m.
