Bulbs often crowded together, covered with thickened roots. Basal leaves 2, linear, 4-12 x 0.1-0.2 cm, flat, glabrous. Cauline leaves usually 3, alternate, lowest 3-6 x 0.1-0.2 cm, not overtopping flowers. Flowers 1-5, nodding in bud, never opening flat. Perianth segments white, oblanceolate, 7-16 mm, obtuse, with 3 purplish veins. Capsule narrowly ovate-oblong. Fl. 3-4. On rocks, among macchie, 100-1000 m.
