Perennial, 15-30 cm, decumbent, not or little-branched, densely covered with ± spreading yellowish sericeous eglandular hairs and shorter glands. Cauline leaves petiolate, middle ones oblong-elliptic, obtuse, crenate-denticulate, 6-7 x 1-1.5 cm. Verticillasters 4-6, 6-flowered, all except upper-most 1-4 cm distant. Middle bracts broadly ovate to orbicular, acuminate, 1-2 x 1-1.5 cm. Calyx 9-12 mm, with dense ± spreading eglandular hairs and short glands, teeth 3.5-4 mm, finely acuminate. Corolla yellow, 12-15 mm, hairy and with brown markings inside. 2n = 32. Fl. 7-9. Mountain slopes, 1800-2550 m.
