Corm tunic coarsely reticulate-fibrous. Leaves 4-5, synanthous, 0.5-1.5 mm broad. Prophyll present. Bracteole absent. Throat of perianth white, pubescent; segments 2-3 x 0.8-1.2 cm, obtuse, pale blue with fine darker veining. Filaments yellow, 3-5 mm, glabrous; anthers 1.1 cm, yellow. Style yellow, dividing into 3 yellow or orange clavate branches. 2n = 28. Fl. 2-4. Limestone screes in sparse coniferous woods, 1300-2700 m.
