Corm tunic coarsely reticulate-fibrous. Leaves 2-6, synanthous, 0.5-1 mm broad. Prophyll absent. Bracteole present. Throat of perianth yellow, glabrous; segments 1.5-3 x 0.9-1.3 cm, obtuse to rounded, bright yellow, often stained purplish at base and on perianth tube. Filaments 2-4 mm, glabrous; anthers 8-13 mm, yellow. Style dividing into 3 orange or reddish-orange branches. 2n = 10. Fl. 2-4. Open rocky places, in scrub and in Pinus woods, 1000-1600 m.
