Annual, 10-50 cm, branched from base, softly hairy. Lower leaves palmatifid to ½ -2/3 , 2-5 cm diam.; segments cuneate, obtusely lobulate; upper leaves opposite, shortly petiolate. Pedicels usually glandular-pubescent with darkly capitate hairs, spreading or deflexed in fruit. Sepals 3·5-5 mm; awn 0,2-0,5 mm. Petals 5-9 mm, entire, pink or lilac. Stamens 10. Mericarps patently pubescent, not wrinkled. Seeds foveolate. Fl. 3-5. Gullies, banks, rocky and waste places, s.l.-l700 m.
