Velvety, branched from base; stems erect or diffuse, 5-20 cm. Stipules ovate-subulate, denticulate. Leaflets obovate, dentate in the upper half, densely villous, 8-15 x 3-10 mm. Peduncle, 1,5-5 cm. Heads 12-15-flowered, dense, ovate, in fruit oblong, 15-30 x 10-15 mm. Calyx tubular, 7-9 mm; teeth subulate, as long as tube. Corolla blue, 11-15 mm. Legumes hirsute, lanceolate, somewhat curved, 10-15 x 2-3 mm, 4-6-seeded. Seeds ovate, finely tubercled, 2 mm. Fl. 4-7. Limestone slopes, Pinus forest, steppe, fallow fields, 300-1300 m.
