Procumbent or ascending annual; stems adpressed-pilose with mainly white and a few black hairs. Leaves 2-4 cm; leaflets 6-10 mm, elliptic, acute or obtuse, adpressed-simple-pilose, 6-10-paired; stipules 3-5 mm, triangular-lanceolate, black- and white-hairy. Flowers in dense 3-7-flowered spikes. Calyx 3-4 mm, campanulate, black and white adpressed-simple-pilose; teeth 1,5-2 mm. Corolla purple or white; standard 7-9 mm. Legumes 10-16 mm long, stellately spreading, linear, bigibbous at base, adpressed long and short white simple-hairy. Fl. 4-6 Fields, woods, steppe 100-980 m.
