Erect shrub, to 3 m; stem densely pubescent. Leaves usually in whorls of 3,4-7 x 0,5-0,7 mm. Umbels terminal on lateral shoots, 1-5-flowered; pedicel c. 5 mm, glabrous. Flowers 4-merous. Sepals c. 1,3 mm. Corolla white or pale pink, ± campanulate, c. 3 x 2,2 mm, glabrous. Stamens 8; filaments c. 1 mm, with flattened, hairy spurs at their apex; anthers c. 0,8 mm, dehiscing introrsely by long slits. Ovary 4-locular, glabrous; style c. 1,2 mm, continuous with ovary. Fl. 3-7. Open mixed forest, Fagus & Quercus scrub, under Pinus brutia and Phillyrea media, macchie, banks, cliffs, s.l.-900 m.
