Annual with erect or ascending branched stems, 10-25 cm, and an indumentum of glandular hairs. Lower leaves petiolate, broadly obovate, obtuse, up to 25 x 15 mm; upper cauline leaves sessile, narrowly obovate, acute, decreasing in size upwards. Inflorescence loose, few-flowered. Pedicels 3-6 mm, erect or spreading-erect. Calyx narrow, oblong-cylindrical, c. 10 mm. Petals rose, c. 14 mm, with a narrowly obovate, rounded lamina with 2 short, linear-oblong scales, and a linear claw. Capsule ovate-oblong, equalling calyx. Fl. 4-6. Rocky slopes, 800-1700 m.
