Like M. hirsuta, but up to 20 cm, often more densely tufted, occasionally cushion-forming; sparsely to densely glandular-pubescent on the leaves and stems below; inflorescence a rather dense cyme, occasionally reduced to 1-3 flowers; pedicels 2-5 mm, bracts with a broad hyaline margin, 0,4-0,6 mm wide; sepals 4,5-7 mm , acuminate; petals ovate-oblong, a little longer than sepals.
