Erect annual herb, branched above, 10-40 cm, glandular-pubescent in the middle part of the stem. Basal leaves oblong or oblanceolate, 5-20 mm, ± 1 veined, the rest linear-lanceolate, 15-25 mm, ± 3-veined. Inflorescence laxly 4-10-flowered or plant branched almost to base and 20-30-flowered. Bracts not enclosing the calyx. Pedicels 5-20 mm. Calyx 9-10 mm, glabrous, the costae 3-veined, the commissures papery and crinkled. Petals ± equalling calyx, entire, white. Seeds 2-2,8 x 1,3-1,9 mm. Fl. 3-7. Steppe, fields, open stony places, 1000-1100 m.
