Biennial herb, woody at the base. Stems erect, up to 60 cm. Leaves white-tomentose, the lower dentate to pinnatifid, the upper entire. Sepals 8-12 mm. Petals violet to pale purple. Siliquae compressed, up to 15 cm, with large conspicuous, stipitate, yellow or black glands. Stigma without horns. Rocky coasts.
Coasts of S. & W. Europe, Cyprus, Latakia, N.W. Africa.
