Softly hairy to scabrous branching annual. Stems erect to ascending, 10-30 cm high, striate. Basal and lower cauline leaves simple, ovate, crenate or 1-2-pinnate, leaflets ovate to rounded, crenate; upper cauline leaves simple, lanceolate to basally lobed, crenate-dentate. Umbels 5-12-rayed, rays scabrous, unequal, ascending after anthesis. Bracts 5-8, subulate to lanceolate, scabrous, cuspidate, with stiffly ciliate margins, deflexed; bracteoles 5, lanceolate, unequal, scabrous, cuspidate, the longest ones 2 x as long as fruiting pedicels. Flowers white, 7-10 per umbellule. Mericarps ovate to elliptic, margins strongly thickened and moniliform; abaxial face with tubular to vesicular hairs. Dorsal vittae 4, peripheral ones covered by moniliform margin, commissural 2. 2n = 20. Fl. 5. Open places on bare soil, fields, roadsides, s.l.-306 m.
