Bulb 13-28 x 10-20 mm. Leaves normally absent from bulbs which have flowered, 1-2 on non-flowering bulbs, filiform, 4-20 cm x 0.5-1.5 mm, glaucous, cylindrical. Scape very slender, 9-25 cm. Flowers solitary , erect, fragrant. Spathe 15-35 mm, hyaline, tubular in lower half. Pedicels 7-20 mm. Hypanthial tube slender, cylindrical, 12-20 mm. Perianth segments white, 10-16 x 3-7 mm, oblong-lanceolate, mucronate, patent. Corona orange, 1-1.5 x 3-4 mm, 6-lobed. Stamens included, slightly exceeding corona; anthers dorsifixed. Fl. 9-11. Damp places, stony hillsides, 200-300 m.
