Bulb globose, 1-1.5 cm diam.; outer tunics membranous, blackish. Stem 10-12.5 cm, flexuous. Leaves 2-3, fistulose, 1-2 mm broad, deeply canaliculate, curved, equalling or longer than stem. Spathe 2-valved, persistent; valves ovate-rounded·, shortly mucronate. Umbel globose, 1-1.5 cm diam., dense. Pedicels scarcely longer than perianth. Perianth globose-campanulate; segments pinkish, wine-red, dark crimson or reddish-maroon, 3-3.5 mm, ovate-oblong, obtuse; outer very scabrid. Median cusp of inner filaments shorter than basal lamina and somewhat shorter than setaceous lateral cusps. Capsule ovoid, 2-2.5 mm, included in perianth. Fl. 7-8. Mountainsides, stony places, on limestone, 1800-2100 m.
