Stems 5-40 cm, ascending from a strongly branched base, numerous or occasionally single and erect, ± retrorsely scabrid or hairy. Leaves sparsely hairy on margins, surface and midrib. Corolla 4-5 mm, lilac, pinkish or white. Fruits mostly glabrous. Fl. 4-9. Open forests and scrub, orchards, fields and road margins, s.l.-1500 m.
