Erect or ascending villous perennial; hairs trimorphic, long and short eglandular, intermediate glandular. Flowering stems 10-30 cm. Leaves digitate; leaflets 5, rarely 7, broadly obovate or oblong, 10-25 x 5-20 mm, minutely crenate-dentate, greyish-green on both sides, long-villous with few shorter glandular hairs. Flowers in cymes. Epicalyx segments linear, longer than sepals. Sepals ovate-linear, 6-8 mm, acuminate. Petals pale yellow, 9-10 mm. Achenes strongly rugulose and winged; style shorter than achene. Fl. 5-8. Meadows, shady places, s.I.-1750 m.
