Stems 3-10 cm, ± decumbent, creeping at base, branched, completely glabrous. Leaves oblong- to obovate-spathulate, 8-16 x 3-7 mm, completely glabrous, broadest at ± truncate apex, base cuneate, gradually attenuate into very short petiole, ± distinctly crenulate at apex, otherwise entire. Raceme erect, 6-15-flowered, densely pubescent with 0,1-0,4 mm patent glandular hairs, with 0-3 sterile bracts at base and 2 opposite vegetative branches immediately below. Pedicels 1,5-2,5 x length of oblanceolate bracts. Calyx 1,5-2,5 mm, lobes 4, oblong, obtuse. Corolla pale blue with darker veins, 7-9 mm diam. Capsule and seeds unknown. Fl. 8. Edges of alpine melt-water lakes and rivulets, 2700-3200m.
