Strongly suffruticose perennial. Stems 12-40 cm, many, erect or ascending, pubescent. Leaves entire or tripartite, sessile, segments linear, with ± revolute margins, canescent or tomentellous beneath, middle lobe usually longest. Inflorescence laxly racemose, flowers solitary and axillary in axils of linear to 3-partite floral leaves. Pedicels 1-2 x calyx. Calyx 6-10 mm, crispate-pubescent to tomentellous, teeth subulate, 2 x tube. Corolla pale lilac-pink, 2 x calyx. Stamens c. half as long as lip. Fl. 4-7. Steppe, shrubby places, fallow fields, 500-1600 m.
