Stems c. 10-60 cm, erect with strict branches . Leaves in whorls of three, 4-12 mm, linear, rounded, revolute. Sepals 1-2,5 mm, oblong to elliptic, rounded, with sessile black glands. Petals 5-10 mm, oblong-elliptic. Capsule 4-6 mm, narrowly ovoid. FI. 5-6. Quercus and Juniperus macchie, Pinus brutia woods and limestone rocks, s.I.-800 m.
