Ascending, glabrous perennial. Stems wingless, 15-35 mm, arising from creeping subterranean caudicauli. Median leaves subdigitate, aristate, thick and glaucescent; leaflets 2-paired, narrowly oblong-elliptic to elliptic, 20-70 x5-14 mm, 5-7-parallel-veined; stipules lanceolate-subulate, much longer than 1-3 mm petiole. Peduncles often much longer than leaves, laxly 2-7-flowered; pedicels 3-8 mm. Flowers large, 20-27 mm, standard deep pink, wings lilac.  Calyx 6-9 mm; teeth unequal, the lowest as long as the tube to 2/3 as long. Style oblong-spathulate, c. 5 x 1.5 mm. Legume linear, c. 60 x 5,5 mm. Fl. 4-5. Forests, Quercus scrub, rocky slopes, 1000-1700 m.
