Plant 10-25 cm, densely covered with spreading hairs. Leaves with 3-5 pairs of leaflets; leaflets linear-lanceolate to elliptic, acute to shortly acuminate, 8-20 x 3-6 mm. Peduncle 3-10 cm. Flower-heads spherical, diam. 3-4 cm. Outer bracts ovate to lanceolate, acuminate, 8-10 x 2-4 mm. Calyx often shorter than corolla, 10-15 mm, with unequal teeth, three lower teeth longer than two upper. Corolla sulphureous, glabrous, 13-15 mm, standard distinctly shorter than keel. Fl. 6-7. Stony limestone slopes, rocks, 900-1400 m.
Endemic; Ir.-Tur. element. Related to E. laguroides.
