Erect perennial, 10-30 cm. Leaves imparipinnate, or the upper sometimes ending in a short tendril; leaflets 5-7-paired, oblong-elliptic, 6-15 x 4-8 mm, herbaceous, serrate, rounded at base, pubescent with few glandular and numerous eglandular hairs. Stipules incised-dentate. Peduncle 1-5-flowered, sometimes with a linear-spathulate awn up to 6 mm. Bracts suborbicular, toothed, 2-3 mm. Flowers 16-17 mm. Calyx strongly gibbous, 10-12 mm. Legume oblong-ellipsoid, c. 27 mm, shortly glandular-villous. Seeds c. 3, warty. Fl. 6-7. Fagus orientalis forest and Quercus coccifera scrub, 800-1400 m.
