Prostrate shrub; all vegetative parts with brown, setose, glandular or eglandular hairs to 2,5 mm. Petiole 1-1,5 cm; lamina lanceolate-elliptic, 5-11,5 x 2,5-4,5 cm, rather coriaceous. Inflorescence 1-5-flowered; pedicels 1,5-6 mm, glabrous; bracts 1,2-1,8 cm, bracteoles 5-8 mm. Sepals 1,2-1,5 cm, glabrous. Corolla white, flushed pink, infundibular, 2-6 cm diam., glabrous apart from uniseriate hairs inside near ,base, lobes 0,5-1,3 cm. Stamens 10, filaments 1,5-2,5 cm, anthers 3,5 mm. ovary glabrous; style 1,5-2,3 cm. Capsule thin-walled, globose; seeds 0,3-0,4 mm. Fl. 5-7. Fagus orientalis and Picea orientalis forest with Vaccinium arctostaphylos and Rhododendron, rarely on open N.-facing slopes, 920-2290 m.
