Dwarf shrub, up to 1 m. Twigs slender, rounded-quadrangular. Scale leaves c. 1 mm, closely and regularly adpressed, triangular, with an oblong dorsal gland slightly raised within a small depression. Cones globose, up to 6 mm, blue-black when ripe, borne on a reflexed pedicel. Seeds usually 2. Alt. 1400-2000 m.
