Caudex present; flowering rosettes monocarpic; scapes 10-20 cm, terminal. Leaves oblanceolate-spathulate, obtuse, attenuate below into a petiole, 30-45 mm , soft, usually densely pubescent . Inflorescence usually a narrow thyrsoid raceme, sometimes with long lower branches so appearing narrowly conical, 75-250-flowered, glandular-pubescent. Flowers white ; pedicels 3-12 mm; calyx 5-8 mm, teeth ovate, acute; corolla 6-8 mm, lobes about as long as tube; scales erect, linear. Follicles c. 5 mm, glabrous or slightly glandular; styles c. 0,5 mm; seeds linear-oblong. FI. 5-6. Limestone cliffs, 10-1000 m.
