Minute glabrous, often tufted annual; stems 1-5 cm. Leaves ovate-oblong, thick, 1-1,5 mm, opposite, connate. Flowers 1-2 in the leafaxils; pedicels c. 0,5 mm; sepals c. 0,8 mm, mucronate; petals whitish, c. 0,7 mm; follicles c. 0,5 mm, constricted between the seeds. Fl. 3-4. Open sward, sandy places, s.l.-100 m.
