Glabrous twining or trailing perennial herb. Leaves sagittate or hastate at base, basal lobes usually dentate. Flowers axillary, solitary or in 2-7-flowering cymes. Outer sepals much shorter than inner, all oblong-ovate, apiculate, truncate-obtuse or retuse, undulate. Corolla cream to pa!e yellow, 30-45 mm, glabrous. Ovary glabrous. Fl. 4-7. Quercus scrub on limestone, macchie, screes, gravel banks, ruills, cultivated and fallow fields, s.l.-1350 m.
