Perennial, 20-40 cm, mostly glabrous. Basal leaves oblanceolate-spathulate, stem leaves linear-lanceolate, glabrous except for minutely ciliate margins, glaucous and fleshy. Inflorescence paniculate with long lower branches, rather few-flowered. Flowers nodding at anthesis. Calyx 10-11 mm, glabrous or scabrous on the nerves. Petals greenish, the limb bipartite to ½ of its length. Filaments glabrous. Anthophore 4-5 mm. Capsule ellipsoid.
