Erect annual, 10-30cm, densely hairy with short, fine, usually eglandular hairs. Leaves linear to lanceolate. Inflorescence an irregular dichasium, 1-15-flowered. Calyx coriaceous, 14-17 mm, with 60 fine nerves; indumentum like that on the stems. Petals white to pink, 2,5-4 mm wide, emarginate to bidentate. Anthophore 1-2,5 mm. Capsule 8-10 mm, included in the calyx. FI. 5-6. Open places, 300-1500 m.
