Erect glabrous perennial. Stems up to 80cm. Basal leaves linear. Median cauline leaves small, linear-lanceolate, acute, 1-3mm broad. Inflorescence an unbranched raceme, the flowers borne strictly in groups of 2 or 3 in the axils of opposite bracts. Bracteoles hidden within the bracts. Calyx 12-16 mm. Petals whitish, bipartite. Anthophore 5-7 mm, about equalling the included capsule.
