Mat-forming, pubescent perennial with fragile stems. Leaves 4-9 mm, acute, the upper sessile, the lower shortly petiolate. Inflorescence lax, 3-10-flowered; bracts foliaceous; pedicels 8-15 mm. Sepals 3-4 mm, ovate to ovate-lanceolate, acute to acuminate. Petals obovate to oblanceolate, cuneate, 1 ½ -2 x longer than sepals. Capsule about equalling calyx. Seeds 0,75-1 mm, weakly tuberculate; tubercles with a prominent papilla.
