Decumbent perennial herb covered with adpressed yellowish tomentum. Stems unbranched, 1-headed, 15-25 cm, bearing a few leaves in lower part, naked above. Basal leaves obovate-cuneate, entire or 3-fid, obtuse, irregularly 10-20-toothed, petioles 10-15 mm, lamina 15 x 5-11 mm; upper leaves oblanceolate, sessile, 3-10-toothed at apex. Capitula discoid only. Involucre 1-1,3 cm broad; phyllaries narrow, pale-margined. Disc flowers c. 3 mm, not becoming inflated at base. Achenes immature, smooth-ribbed, 1,5 mm; corona 0,25 mm. FI. 5-6. In Pinus brutia woods on limestone, c. 1000 m.
