Leaves c. 5, ± as long as scape, to 3 cm broad, green; margin ciliolate to scabrid or smooth. Raceme 12-25-flowered, lax. Pedicels 10-20 mm. Flower buds purplish. Perianth with purplish tube and white, green-veined lobes, nodding to patent, 10-12 mm, campanulate, lobes 1/2-2/3 x tube. Fruiting raceme conical; lowermost pedicels 5-8 cm, patent. Valves of capsule c. 15 mm, broadly ovate, retuse at apex. Fl. 5. Hillsides, steppe, 1750-2300 m.
