Stem terete, hollow, striate or not, 25-90 cm. Basal leaves soon withering, lower leaves ± narrow-oblong, 7-15 x 1-4 cm, ultimate segments linear, 0,5-1,5 cm x up to 0,25 mm, mucronate; upper leaves broad ovate, sessile or shortly petioled, segments filiform, up to 2 cm long. Rays 9-14, unequal, 2-7 cm. Bracts 5-8, 5-30 mm. Bracteoles 5-8, 1-15 mm. Pedicels 10-20, unequal, 2-10 mm. Petals with a brown central oil-duct, 0,5-1,5 mm. Fruit brownish or greenish, 2,5-5 x 1,5-2 mm, smooth. Fl. 6-7. Water meadows, open forests, fieldsides, 850-2100 m.
