Bulb conical or oblong, 0.8-1.5 cm, crowded together; outer tunics prolonged up stem, membranous, breaking up into parallel fibres. Stem 15-22.5 cm. Leaves 2, linear-filiform, semiterete, channelled, very slender. Valves of spathe lanceolate, acute, longer than pedicels. Umbel fastigiate, 1.5-3 cm diam., 5-l2-flowered. Pedicels slightly longer than flowers. Perianth obconical, narrowly tubular; segments pale pink, lilac pink, silvery pink or white with a purple midvein, linear-oblong, 8-12 mm, obtusish. Filaments 0.4-0.5 x as long as perianth segments. Capsule 2 x perianth. Fl. 8. Subalpine pastures above and below tree line, rocky igneous slopes and scree, crevices in non-lime rocks, 1700-3000 m.
Endemic. Euxine element.
